The past twelve months has seen a variety of law changes and our 2012 training programme will reflect these developments.

Our Tax Update and Look Through Companies roadshow courses are coming to a town near you soon.  Both courses have been updated and have practical application for accountants, lawyers and other professionals.

With nearly 12 months under it's belt, the LTC regime has definitely not replaced the LAQC regime; not even close.  A number of issues have been identified; so the big questions are...Did we make the right choice when we transitioned last year? Or: if we have not yet transitioned to an LTC, should we, or are there better choices?  Our upcoming LTCs course examines this regime in some detail, to look at the fishhooks, and help you weigh the advantages of accessing losses against the disadvantages of this regime.

The Tax Update will cover the recent Taxation (Tax Administration and Remedial Matters) Act, which contained improvements to the tax administration system, abolishes gift duty, makes improvements to the tax disputes process, clarifies deductibility of UOMI, contains changes as a consequence of the Christchurch earthquakes, considers non-residents investing through a New Zealand PIE and has a variety of GST changes. Learn more see Tax Update 2012.
