This is the first training course designed specifically for accountants who want to use the efficiencies of Xero to produce year end financial statements. You will learn structured procedures to maximise Xero to its full potential! 

This hands-on 3 hour course will cover:
  • Bank reconciliation - fast coding
  • Bank reconciliation errors - where to look to resolve
  • Lock dates
  • Reconciliation reports - what is availabile
  • GST reconciliation, journaling and adjustments to GST
  • Fixed Assets - Logic and tips
  • Balance Sheet items/adjustments
  • Year end Journals
  • Annual Report changes - things likely to be adjusted
  • Publishing reports in Xero/Exporting
  • Introduction to reporting codes and Differential Report Packs (if released)
  • General Ledger export

You will learn

  • How to reduce time spent preparing the annual financial statements out of Xero.
  • Ensure the working accounts of a business include all year end adjustments.
  • Make use of the reconciliation features with Xero, rather than recreate validations outside Xero.
  • Improve the note disclosures you provide with the annual financial statements.
  • How to use reporting codes to produce more relevant Differential Report notes.

This timely course is designed for those who use Xero and want to learn how to realise productivity and efficiency gains from using this software. 

Attendee Prerequisites

  • Existing Xero user - or a good level of experience using/navigating the Xero system.
  • Reporting codes require either a staff member or practice administrator using practice edition.
  • Bring your own laptop computer - with own internet access or wireless capability to connect to venue internet (3 hours battery lift for laptop)
  • Web browser software - latest version of Firefox or Internet Explorer
