Business Predictions for 2010
Predicting the future is difficult, but managing the future is achievable. For example, producing a thorough budget and cashflow forecast for a client can be very beneficial and motivating process. Knowing where a business is now and where it’s heading can focus resources and identify potential future issues.
Many practitioners and their clients pay lip service to this whole process and see it more as a compliance exercise and ability to pay bills on time. They miss a real opportunity to add value and set accurate budgets and business measures for future success.
Here are three things to consider:
1. Do you know where your (client’s) business is heading for 2010/2011 financial year?
2. Are you integrating financial and non-financial performance measures? You need to identify the best performance measures and set targets.
3. Does your budgeting and cashflow forecasting positively shape and drive your business forward?
If you want assistance on this topic, then register now for our upcoming ‘Budgeting & Performance Measures’ course.
